Freshman Using Genesis Lab to 3D Print Parking Tokens
MALIBU, CA - Pepperdine University has recently unveiled a 3D printing and VR lab in Payson Library. Students have thus far lauded the new program and taken advantage of all the opportunities the Genesis Lab offers.
“I have already 3D-printed an orange unicorn, a statue of Jesus, and a rugged cross. Pepperdine does not disappoint!” said Ray Howell when asked about the program.
A freelance developer has taken the capabilities of Pepperdine’s 3D printers to the next level. Rumors have been confirmed that this individual has perfected a design and began 3D-printing parking tokens. With this new technology, students could potentially access all closed lots as well as Upper and Lower Dorm Road at their earliest convenience.
The Department of Public Safety has responded to this development with sharp criticism.
“Tokens are reserved solely for freshman moms, Church of Christ affiliates, and donors. We will not stand by this violation of public safety,” announced Adam “Twelve” Harrison, a loyal DPS officer and current freshman.
Students have responded positively to the unfolding news. Some freshmen began using the plastic tokens to access the dorm roads and deliver their moms to do laundry, and Pepperdine Laundry Services has begun to complain about this as well.
AKB could not be reached for comment, and the administration is still investigating the tokens to see whether they truly aspire to Pepperdine’s motto “Freely ye received, freely give”. The lab is open Monday through Friday, 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. and welcomes all to push their boundaries.
